How do I make my products available to a retailer?

Making products available to your retail partners is a two step process:

Publish products to Mothership from your ecommerce platform

First, Mothership needs to import the product from your ecommerce platform. The exact mechanism for doing that depends on the platform you're connected to. Please refer to the platform-specific setup guides here:

Assign products to your retailer in Mothership

Second, you need to assign products to your retail partners. This is a per-retailer setting that is found on each retailer's configuration page in Mothership. To get to the retailer configuration page, sign into the Mothership Vendor Portal, click on retailers on the left, and then click into the retailer you want to configure. On the following page you should see a card similar to the one highlighted below.

You'll need to select from the radio button group how you want to assign products to the retailer. Let's go through each of the 3 options.


All products published to Mothership

Here, any product you publish to Mothership will be automatically made available to the retail partner. In turn, any product you unpublish from Mothership will be disconnected from your retail partner. After you select this option for the first time, you should navigate to the products page and click the "Sync Products" button to have Mothership pull in the latest changes and evaluate each product for assignment to a retailer.


Manually select products

If you choose this option, you will need to manually select the products you want to assign to a retailer. To assign a specific product, navigate to the product's configuration page and click on the checkmark next to the appropriate retailer. Don't forget to click the Save Changes button at the top.

Products with the following tag

This option automatically assigns a product to the retailer if the product has a specific tag. You'll need to tell which tag you want Mothership to look for. If the product has the tag, it's assigned to the retailer. If it does not have the tag, it's not assigned to the retailer. If you remove the tag from a product that is currently assigned to the retailer, Mothership will make the product unavailable to the retailer.

Don't forget to save. It's also a good idea to synchronize products after you select the assign by tag option.
